    Hi,

for the past 10 days or so, my home eir broadband is cutting out completely for a couple of minutes or so, before coming back. I can see that the light on the modem is completely dark, then will begin flashing again.

This happens at least 2 or 3 times each evening. It might be happening during the daytime also, but I'm not around to notice it. In the area I live in there is a kind of residents' social media page, and others have reported the same problem.

I looked on the eir website but didn't find any notice or anything that would be relevant to my location and problem.

Can I PM you my account number or address or something for you to check whether there is some kind of wider problem.

    Thanks.

Still happening two and a half months later. I logged the fault with eir but had no contact whatsoever.

I would call them, but have had no phone line for the last 2-3 weeks. I logged that fault also, but did not get any contact about that either.

Dreadful dreadful service and customer service. The bit about somebody getting in contact with me within 48 hours is a bad joke.

I had this happening on my broadband since it was installed last March. It was with Vodafone but using the Eir lines.

Eir sent engineers out a few times to test the line, swap the port at the exchange etc but nothing worked until a week ago. The Eir engineer checked all the wires around the house and found interference on the phone line/broadband I think it was.

He fixed something in the box on the phone pole and the broadband has been perfect ever since.
