Suppose someone were to start a full-time postgraduate and not disclose it...

How would they ever find out? Would it be at all likely? What would be the penalties if they did?

Or as an alternative idea, what if someone put full-time postgraduate when applying to SUSI but did a part-time course, would that work for getting the same amount of grant money but over two years?

Assume this person is desperate to do this course. People with inside knowledge of how it works are the best to answer please.

    Asking for a friend.

They will find out. They have the authority to share your details with revenue and the department of social protection, and I am assuming susi too.

    PPSN is linked.
You'll have to repay funds and may face a criminal prosecution.

When I went back to college I couldnt get any grants or anything, and doing something like this crossed my mind. I thought better of it but a couple of people in my class were doing it, they got caught after a few months and had to leave the course. Heard it from someone else that they'd to pay back anything they'd claimed over that time.
