As the title says I am looking for spare parts for a fridge. Its actually for the freezer box door which I have to wedge closed with cardboard.

I need a replacement handle and the bit that keeps the freezer box door closed.

    Tried everywhere including the manufacturer.

    Powerpoint fridge with freezer
    Type: P4504MW1

I'd say if Shomar cannot help you, you'll be hard pressed to find anyone else with parts.

Dunno if you've tried all these, but there's Quinnspares, Exsparetise, espares.ie, buyspares.ie and spareparts.ie to try.

You'll pay through the nose for spares and for a piece of kit that's worth €150 new may be hard to justify.

Keep an eye on adverts, done deal, free to take away sites or even hit up the local recycling centres. You'll find it in the end.

It looks like there's a couple of this model (only guessing based on pictures) on adverts starting at about 60quid. So not awful value if you grab the bits and keep it in storage for when another part breaks but still a third of the value of the appliance so you'd need to weigh up if it's worth it to you.

The local authority recycling centres don't allow 'scavenging', probably to keep scrap merchants and people from a certain section of society out. So I'd bring one or two people to distract the supervisor or whoever is there to keep an eye on things. But large white appliances tend to be in cages and not just standing there in the open waiting to be inspected.

It's probably still worth visiting you local centres but you'll be very lucky to find your exact model there with the bits waiting to be salvaged.
