Adult caution

Hi there , due to my immaturity months ago I was cautioned by the gardai . Though I was told to be cautioned and I will be expecting to receive a call from them to a gardai station , theyve got my pps number and mobile number too. It happened during late March and now is September but I received no calls from them . What does this mean? Did they forgotten me or something.? I am so worried . What happens if they did not contact me after 6 months??

Also, I'm in college now . Will it affect me getting a work placement or job in the future ? I know it won't show up on garda vetting but just to be sure of my prospect career wise after this mess of getting cautioned . I regretted my actions and reflected them well. I hope someone could shed me some light on this matter. Thanks

AFAIK they cant prosecute you or summons you to court after 6 months for most minor offences. So if they havent been n back to yoiu after 6 mpnths I reckon you are in the clear.

Did you sign anything when you were arrested originally?

Even if you did end up with a caution it wouldnt really affect you. It onlu really goes against you if you get in reouble again.

    Hi there
I didn't sign anything particularly, they just want my personal details etc.they said they would call me within a few weeks but its already been months. So kinda wondering if they really intend to caution me or just forgotten to do so. It was like 5 months + ago when it happened .

I'm just concerned with my possibilities for a work placement as part of my degree . Hope nothing serious .
