Unsolicited video calls on watsapp

    Between yesterday and today I've received video calls from Irish mobile numbers that I don't recognise. I called one back as I was curious to see who it was and it just rang out. It said it was a group call and after blocking those numbers I got the same today from different numbers which I have also blocked. This has to be a scam but I can't see anything similar online happening to anyone else. Any ideas ?

    It would be anything. It could even be someone you know with a new phone / number. But, hey, it smells.

    What type of bill plan are you on? Will video calls cost you a lot?

    Do you cover the camera on your devices when not in use?
