They have Rolex Explorer 214270 39mm in the dealers here in Malta. There is a waiting list for it in Ireland and Northern Ireland.

There should be no issues buying it here from the AD?

There’s one sitting in the window in Keanes in Cork.

There was one in keanes in limerick a few weeks back aswell. 2 x explorer 2 also; black and white.

More demand up in the north due to the weak sterling.

Same in cork with both EX2 dials, Airking, Milgauss, ton of bi metals. Rhodium and blue dial DJ41s but with diamond markers.

Would there be any issues with the ADs in Ireland looking after me if I need anything done with in future?

No issues, they may charge a small handeling fee, but no issues.

im guessing its more expensive there than buying from the UK, whats the euro rrp, its not a hard to get model

Well I picked the watch up Wednesday morning. Delighted with it. Paid a bit more then what I would have paid for at UK rrp with the sterling but still a solid saving on the Irish rrp thanks to the very nice lady who gave me a "good will discount" when I spoke about them being much cheaper in the UK.

The 39mm is a beauty but a 36mm explorer or OP are 100% my next to do list....

    Very nice! Understated class!

I tried one on today as part of my game of “trying on watches with a less than zero intention of spending a ha penny in the shop while on holidays” game. Need to think of a snappier name!

Yes I also enjoy this game, but see where it got me!

But I will however continue to play it.

The actual AD wouldn’t let me take pictures! Tried on a few gold Daytona’s, speedmaster pro, dark side of moon, liquid metal planet ocean.

He said he could get a 126710BLRO no problem if I bought the gold Daytona!

The ad wouldn't let you take pictures? The AD store manager even let me try on his Patek Philippe Nautilus

They cited “security reasons”! Strange! I didn’t try on anything that wasn’t on display in the window!

Think he would have sold me the speedy pro for less than 3k no problem. Was tempted!

How did the nautilus feel? Was never a huge fan but it has grown on me! My preference in general is rubber or nato watches. Not sure if that is even possible on a 5711 due to the integrated bracelet.

The Nautilus was much bigger then I was expecting. But it did feel nice on the wrist. Wore like a 41/42mm but it something I will never have as I think he said that particular model started at 39k euro!
