    Hi

I got a letter last friday saying that customs was due on an item.

I was about to email the invoice today to get the item released but the postman has arrived looking for the money now.

Item cost €25 Inc delivery and postman was asking for €26 euro customs?

Is that figure too high ,i think it is?

Customs entry by An Post is €10 to start with. 23% VAT on top of that, but it doesn't come near €26. Maybe C&E wouldn't accept your invoice value. You need to contact them and ask for the customer entry and how they worked out the charges.
