Yeah used a good bit of it and found it fine. Have sown germinal as well. Only difference I see between the two is agritech have the growth additive on the seeds.

so if you were to pick between the two which one would you choose? would both of these be one of the best in the country?

Hard to call as everyone would have their preference. Both on par with one another so it would come down to price really. Germinal can't sell direct but agritech will

how much a bag is it? so you are happy with both these how they performed? which mix would you reconmend for mostly grazing and maybe a cut of silage?

You would be better to contact their respective reps as there are many different mixtures plus your type of soil would come into play also. There's no real one overall best mixture. What works in one farm maybe poor in another

When does it become too late in the year for reseeding? Is it better to wait until the Spring?

As a rule they the the first week in Sept is the cut off but really depends on the year. It's the frost your watching out for

Should be sprayed with a post emergence spray after roughly 6 weeks

Well it's a pity to go to the hassle of reseeding and let the weeds take over again

A post emergence chemical spray is to control and kill any weeds that emerge after reseeding.
What chemical spray you use depends on what weeds emerge.
Sometimes if it's only an annual weed then no spray application is needed as a topping or grazing will control that before it heads to seed.
If it's a perennial then unfortunately a spray may be justified.

Like everything? It's not mandatory or that six week time limit is not mandatory either. It's all about playing what's in front of you.
There's no point putting your cash in Bayer's pockets if it's not needed.

what fertilizer would you normally spread,i am thinking of spreading 2 and a half bags to the acreof 10 10 20,when would be the best time to apply this before or after sowing the seed?

A bit of lime might be in order too.

Two bags to the acres should be enough. Before or after as it makes little difference

Always go with 3 bags here of 10.10.20 and spread just before seed is set. Spread lime also

I do exactly the same here. Roll after seeding and close the gate

I prefer 2 at seeding and another bag after about 6 weeks. Constant feeding

Don't spare the phosphorus at sowing time. I always go with a minimum of 40 units/acre depending on soil test results.

I go 4 bags 10 10 20 and 2 t ground lime pre sowing and bag can after 4/5 weeks .all about giving new seeds the very best start .getting a grazing in after 6/7 weeks crucial to help plant tiller and thicken up

Whenever we reseed ground gets plastered with dung and or slurry prior to ploughing, lime and fert spread before seed is set and rolled. Graze as early as possible then and follow on with fert every round

Same here, 10 10 20 and then 18 6 12 htree weeks later, got great results with the oversowing, it really trasformed the sward, the drought checked the old grass and gave the new grass a chance, we grazed it hard for a week after sowing and light grazing every two to three weeks after that

Now give it a good harrowing in the spring to get rid of the dirt

Anyone using Sinclair McGill grass seed? I sowed a field with turbo grazing one cut silage 22 years ago and it's still going strong. It will always have to be grazed before the rotation is complete. Expensive seed but in the late big run it will pay off. BTW I'm not any way connected to Sinclair McGill 😀😀😀
