Sell a private debt

I was in a short squeeze and needed a raise 100k a " friend" told me he knew someone who could give me the the 100k if i gave him collateral.

I have known this friend for years. He told me he knows this financier who apparently did deals like this all the time in London city. So my friend set up a 3 way call with this guy who apparently was in Oman on a business trip. Everything seemed fine.

I got the loan agreement in an email and i signed it an sent it back. I did not receive a signed copy back from the lender. Now because I didn't know the lender personally never met this guy face to face. I told my friend he will act as escrow.I will send him the collateral and when he gets the payment confirmation of the 100k sent to me, he will then release the collateral

I then sent the collateral to my friend. I got the payment confirmation the next morning of 100k sent to me in the form of a pdf of an online transfer from natwest bank. dated 16/08/18.

To date i have not gotten 1 cent from this "financier from the city". My "friend" now says that he will pay me back from his own pocket, blah blah blah.... He even sent 2 forward dated cheques.

The number he gave me for the lender has never been answered once. The email address the lender emailed me from is also bullsh1t.

Our families are friends and i find it so strange he would pull this **** as we have done deals in the past. My father thinks that my friend just pretended to be the financier because he was in a jam for cash. I agree with this because there are so may holes in his story.

The reason I needed the money was pretty serious I needed to settle a lawsuit which had my assets frozen.

Anyway I need my money back asap. Short of sending the heavies round to his apartment. Or getting law enforcement involved . Can I sell this debt to a debt collecting firm I am willing to take 70c on the euro to get my money back asap. I don't believe he will pay me in a timely fashion.

I am open to any advise or other measure you recommend. Thank you.

"Rookie mistake and you hate to see it"

Only advice is this is a civil matter and you will need to take him to court.

No debt collection will touch this

You've been there victim of a con job and you have no signed agreement from the third party so no private debt collection firm will touch it. Send the heavies around.

Is any person involved in this transaction an African prince who has funds he needs to divest urgently?
