I stupidly put 5litres of engine oil in to my car today as I’m a complete and utter tit !! I even knew myself as I done it that I should probably stop , but I kept going and going until it was all in . I drove the car for about 20 mins after this and there was white smoke trailing from the exhaust ! What can I do to try and fix this ?? Thanks in advance and I am a complete and utter gob****e!!!

So you topped up with 5 litres? Or you emptied the oil and filled it with 5? I presume it is the first one...

Do not run the engine and then drain the oil. If you are not willing to do this yourself you will have to get your mechanic to come out, or get the car to them without driving it. You may have already destroyed the engine to be honest, that is a lot of extra oil...

Stop driving and get someone to drain it...

The problem with overfilling and not checking the level is that you are essentially filling a space with incompressible liquid.

Here's a funny video to help with the worry

You really did this? Learned a lesson there.
