I have a seven year old male Shih Tzu. He is a rescued dog and due to his bad start in life he does not get along with ANY other dogs. As a result I am finding it hard to come across a suitable place to leave him when my wife and I attend a wedding in early January 2019. There are lots of places, but they all have other dogs on site. I don't want to leave him in kennels. I would prefer a reputable and recommended dog sitter who would take him into their home for one night and where he is the only dog.

If anyone knows of someone who fits the bill, I would be very grateful.I live in Drumcondra.

    Many thanks.

Am in a similar position, have you looked at the Trusted Housesitters website? I've just posted separately about it asking if anyone has any experience as it seems a good service in theory

K9 Kim is in blanchardstown, she does have a dog at home but keeps boarding dogs seperate. She also stays in owner's homes I think. She's on FB and IG

Thanks everyone for the replies. I came across a site called "Housemydog" and am trying to get someone through this site. If nothing works out, I will certainly try out all your suggestions.

    Thanks again. :)

OP does it have to be an actual dog sitter? If you'd be happy with somebody local who'll take the dog for the night you could post on the local FB page. People post on it from time to time looking for a dog walker/minder and there's always tons of offers. I can PM you the name of the group if you'd like?

Thanks for the info, but I'm sorted with a sitter. :)
