Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    There's a far greater justification to give it to him this year than last year to be honest.

    Poor in the first half v Limerick this year but pretty much all of Galways team was. Sign of a great player to come back from that, and he'd definitely have been the single biggest contributor if Galway were to have won an all Ireland they had no right to win. That's already more cause to give it to him than last year.

    Add in the performance s v Kilkenny in the replay and both games against Clare and he certainly deserves to be nominated. I don't think there was one outstanding player above all this year. I wouldn't be shocked if Joe did win it this year again given its a broad vote.

    Both Canning and Padraig Mannion were better than Gearoid Mac in that game
