Trade in now or wait?

Hi Folks, I drive a 1.6 diesel highline Passat. I bought a 161 at the start of 2017 with 15k km on the clock. I have a 50km each way commute to work each day, along with whatever I drive outside of this. My mileage is now circa 76k. I would like to eventually change back to a 2l; probably an A6. The trade in I'm being offered at present is around 19k, I had been offered 15k at another audi dealer - which I felt was terrible! I'm wondering if I'm better off trading in now or waiting for another year. I expect my mileage will increase at the same rate over the next 12 months. Would the value drop dramatically again in this time? Thanks for your opinions!

If you have made up you mind to change you better go ahead, your cost to change is only going to increase the longer you leave it.

An Audi dealer isn't going to retail your Passat, they will only retail used Audis on their forecourt. Therefore they will sell your car through the trade (to other dealers) so will offer you it's trade value. If you can sell your own car privately then that will be the best financial way of getting the most for it, no easy job selling a car of that value privately though.
