CE Scheme

I will be 66 in eight months time so will be retiring and am on JSA. I have been told I must be interviewed for a CE scheme. If I am 66 in eight months time then I am not in a position to have a year long contract? Do I have to do a CE or Tús scheme at this time in my life. I have done two in the past five years and thought when I hit 65 I ma not be eligible anymore. Is there an upper age limit for the scheme?
Any help with this would be very much appreciated.
    Thank you kindly in advance.

OK I see I do qualify to be eligible for a scheme but I have only 8 months to go, surely there is not an 8 month contract?

If you are currently engaging then you are expected to continue engaging, but only till retirement age which for you is 66.
Apply for illness benefit and good luck with your retirement years

    Thanks for all you help.

I have to attend a interview for a CE position at my local GAA club.

To cut to the chase i hate the GAA, i don't so much as want to cut a blade of grass for them.

So should i tell them straight out at the interview that i don't want to do it? will that effect my JSA? or should i just wing it in the hope they pick someone else?

Just don't show any interest. Also tell them you've got arthritis in the knee and the lawnmowing might make it worse.
