If the picons are anything like the new DOGS then no thanks. I have never seen a worse branding, is this aimed at children?? It appears no one in ireland looks as how it should be done ala BBC, ITV, and even SKY, who started it all, dropped them on movies, sky atlantic, sky one and sky witness. Its a digital age and still DOGS are used!! None at all on the 12.30 news! Must be a glitch

DOG always gets removed during news and a bottom left news DOG applied.

A small graphic that appears on an EPG or search and scan bar.

    Made some.
    I downloaded some images.
I resized to 400 x 240 in paint and saved as PNG
if you like em . just copy to your picons folder and restart the box.

the files must remain named as is for the box to pick them up.

Any idea where these picons would be stored on an AMIKO A5 Android STB?
and how to access this device to update the icons?

I,m using the Tiviar box which is e2.
In e2 you can just copy these to hdd/picon

I don't know how to do it on other systems.

@ DukeDad. The picons that this guy is looking for is for an E2 box. E2 is based on linux, not android.

The images provided 2 posts back need to be symlinked as well. Rough idea how to do it is below.

    All good, thanks.

Thanks Andy1249 & STB for your help.

I’ll give it a go. They look better than what is shown on the screen!

Who in these days are paying for TV to cable companies….
    They are ripping off badly.

    Mod; deleted

80 EUR per year and you can get much more than cable TV can give it to you.
    Yes, it is legal.

That's not legal and not cheap either.

They are rather large, but they surely do not prevent me from watching something I wish to see :)

    The SRP is more explicit.
It is easier to mess or mix up a name. Some providers seem to have different naming conventions for some channels ... an example might be "RTÉ One" versus "RTOne"

Is there any reason I should consider changing?

yeah noticed that with rte radio 1 but it's probably a very unusual case

i find it a lot easier to work with them. ctrl+f channelname, numbers are more hassle.

i was doing fresh installs a bit at the time & always had to change the HD channels you've to add a 9 i think at the start > 1 0 19.
then if a channel changed you're left with nothing, mightn't happened often but if it does the names unlikely to change.
when paramount started, easy to search by name & there was already a picon to use from a set downloaded in november
