Ferrari Power Unit Performance Article & Theory

Hi All,

With all of the comments around the power of the Ferrari power unit and the rumours of maybe potential foul play that is so gone unproven, has anyone found an article that discusses it in more detail and also has some theory in relation to what Ferrari have found that has given them this jump?

To be clear I am a Ferrari fan and Vettel so am loving their car, just interested in how they have obtained this performance. Also interested in what the cover over the camera on the starting grid is.

For me, the most obvious angle to investigate first, is the literal smoking gun - the ICU is very, very smokey on startup, way more so than any other. Is there some oil being fed into the combustion process, which is generating the smoke? Is it caused by cold engine tolerances/pre-heat expansion?

Yes interesting i forgot about the potential oil burn. Also, I have wondered what the mist is at the back of the car as well during races.
At first, I thought it was the start of a fluid/oil leak but it seems not.
