sorry guys tried to post this last night and download photos from my phone but here goes .
Chrono's at .97 Joule with .20 BB no original box full metal upgrades shs high torque motor.
As new shoots consistently lovely feel to this RIF ,you can still buy these at 500 euro + so 250 euro is a great price.

Thanks for this and story with the grip, as well as the stock, please?

Because neither appear to be VFC original.

Thats what came with it certainly non 416 stock but not sure on the grip

Hey mate, the grip and stock are not vfc and the gearbox should not be front wired on a 416d, you might wanna talk to who sold it to you cause the only thing vfc is the body

Thanks for that advice Ciaran,I know the original motor I replaced was VFC stock but I guess I am going to have to open it up to see what is VFC .Any idea how I would tell if the internals are VFC?

Your internals should look very similar to this. Although it's a different AEG, it's from the same company so the internals should be very identical (Scroll half way down to the internals section):

I opened her up to see what was under the hood.

Open to suggestion and Guidance here. no marks on gearbox shell and no retaining screw at spring guide end.release mechanism present. cylinder and piston look typically VFC like clear as is with the tappet plate.hopup in my opinion looks like a Dboys clear one but again I am no expert.
air seal on cylinder-piston is really solid.wiring is thin and looks VFC like ,again open to advice.
the sector and spur gears have the self shimming springs so another plus for VFC

Online I can only see one HK416D replacement gearbox for Dboys as the front wired option but again this does not dissuade me from thinking VFC .please see photos and let me know your expert opinion please.
Is there a chance that this is a DBOYS HK416D and not in fact VFC at all?
    Thanks

Just by way of clarification - the original VFC 416's were all front wired and came with a peq as standard. I've owned two (one from brand new).
The stock looks correct (should have HK trade on it on one side and be a bit wobbly). The grip is correct also. These are all Gen1 VFC with the correct HK markings before Umarex got their fangs into 'em.
Internals look as they should with regard to the GB shell, cylinder and piston.
Not sure on the gearset tho - cant see enough detail on the pic but they likely are, as they still seem to have the orig bushings and spring shims.
Pity the orig HK sights are not with it tho. Much better looking than Magpul and not cheap to replace.

BTW, this is not one of mine! Lovely gun.
