I'm afraid I will get caught for Fraud! Risks associated with it for future employmen

Howiya everyone. Long time lurker here. I'll just keep it short and simple, looking for some advices here from people who know what they're talkig about.

Currently on JSB, haven't told them I'm 3 months into a full time Level 8 Degree, while doing weekend cash in hand work. Before I get the bashing, I know it's wrong and I should have notified them as soon as any circumstance changed but I didn't because I ended up being used to the money and bought a bunch of stuff and now I'll be stuck in debt if I leave and most important have to drop out of college as the JSB is only thing getting me through.

Now some context, I actually just got let go from my weekend cash in hand job and so now I'm literally with no employment at all genuinely not sure what to do. I can choose to leave JSB but that means I'll have to drop out if this course and if I drop out, well that means I won't have free fees and all the grant benefit I got to go into it as I'm 34 and it's my first time in education.

Previous to this, I was in full time employment same company since I was 16, I'm a qualified diesel engine mechanic and truth is, I just picked it up from the old man and there's no qualifications behind it and so I'm stuck in a railroad not knowing what to do.

I wanna do the right thing, that's why I decided to make this thread and just get some right guidance.

Firstly well done for going back to education and you really shouldn't drop out if you can help it. As you know on the jobseekers benefit you are meant to be actively seeking employment. Why don't you get the back to education allowance instead? Just inform social welfare that you are back in college and want to transfer to the btea. It will still be your weekly allowance except legit and you won't have to worry. Best of luck
