Spraying a Vinyl Wrapped Kitchen

Is it possible to have a vinyl wrapped kitchen sprayed? The vinyl is in great condition, not peeling or breaking anywhere. Or do they have to remove the vinyl and spray the mdf underneath? I wouldn't be keen on the latter as I know mdf can swell if exposed to water. Thanks.

I've sprayed wrapped kitchen units, but replaced the actual doors.
It came out perfectly and 4 years later, no paint defects.
Use a primer that is suitable for the vinyl and you should have no issues.
