    Hi,

    Could you tell me the practical application for calculating unpaid days pay for a part-time worker 24hrs/wk -5day week - hours vary.

    Eg €25k annual salary, monthly paid. Annual leave entitlement pre-rata FTE 24/37.5 x 21days = 13.5days

    Is the calculation of the 1 day unpaid based on;
    (a) Hours
    24 x 52 = 1,248hrs €25k/1,248hrs = €20.03/hr
    Therefore if the day unpaid was a day they usually work 5 hrs then;
    5 x €20.03 = €100.16 subtracted from their monthly wage.

    (b) Pro-rata 1 working day out of the month
    €25k/12mths = €2,083/mth
    Eg August 23working days. 1/23 x €2,083 = €90.56 deduction from monthly wage

    Longwinded but its hard to find the correct practical application
    TIA

    If this is for legal procceedings you need a letter from your employer or your accountant if you are self-employed.
    If its not for legal proceedings you have the wrong forum
