    You're imagining it.

    They're solid, but watch the spec and price. The equivalent golf on which it's based would have been considerably more expensive new but many had a much higher spec. As they get older the price gap narrows.

    Otherwise I wouldn't worry about them. If you can get an FR for similar money go with one of those, even if a year older.

    You should consider the 2.0 litre over the 1.6 litre, nice bit of extra power with similar mpg.

    They are really good cars probably best built seats as others have said fr models are the one's to get but that looks really nice i wud have the 2litre diesel first choice but wud have the tsi petrol over the 1.6 diesel not that thers anything wrong with it

    I have a 161 Leon St - same as this one

    I have the car a year and its used on motorway mostly. 55MPG solid and very nice to drive. I can't fault the car especially given they are very low priced second hand.

    Don't rule out the ST as you basically just get a decent boot and the handling is still good.
