SIMI or non-SIMI dealer?

    Having a look at replacing my car and you can search for simi or none simi
    dealers.
    Is it much dodgier buying from a non simi dealer?

    Normally I go SIMI only.


    Going back a few years ago I didn't but I got burned and so stick to SIMI. Also mostly stick to main dealer so you have some chance if it goes tits up


    Plenty of decent nonSIMI dealers but I have personal preference



    I think most people would say its down to personal choice

    SIMI is little more than a dealers club. I’ve never heard of a garage having their membership revoked.

    Go on merit of car and have it checked out before buying.

    Warranty isn't always as good as one thinks either.

    Buying from a simi dealers doesn't mean the car can't be a lemon.

    SIMI is a lobby group car dealers sign upto themselves for their own interests. It's not a consumer group. They won't do anything for you if you've an issue with a SIMI dealer.
