    Hi,

I'm helping my wife fill in this form and have a few quick questions :

Part 5,question 38 is spouse work details. It says 'if they are employed or on a certain scheme' please include 6 most recent payslips. Then, on the checklist it says 'In respect of your spouse, please note that the following documents are only required if you are claiming for your spouse: - If they are on a scheme, their 6 most recent payslips or an employers statement for last 6 weeks.

She will not be claiming on behalf of her spouse (me) so do i need to provide 6 recent payslips ? Question 38 seems to suggest that but the checklist says otherwise.

Also, is the amount she will receive affected by what i earn or is it always the standard weekly amount ?

    Thanks for any info.

Sorry, misread form. I don't need to fill in spouse information as she is not claiming on my behalf

The amount she receives is €240 standard and not affected by anything.
If you are earning between €310 and €400 she may get a 1/2 rate for this child and any other children living with you.
If your earning more then €400 don’t bother with the payslips just write “not applying for dependent spouse or child” across the top of the page.
