Hey so I have a basic sky subscription along with on demand. What I am wondering is if I cancel my on demand will I lose access to the on demand box sets that I have already stored on the box or will I still have access to them?

    Thanks

Not only do you lose access to On Demand, but you lose access to the entire PVR functionality - including everything recorded.

I would lose everything I recorded from the live channels aswell? Crap okay guess it will have to stay so unless anyone knows a way around this? Basically only use it for binge watching likes of game of thrones.

Everything. And it won’t record anything new. Or to pause or rewind live TV. It’ll still allow you to watch free to air and free to view channels, but if you’re gone from Sky for good then look for a proper Freesat or FTA PVR.

If you’re missing your Game of Thrones fix, you could get a Now TV box as suggested above. There’s a €7.50 pm deal for first two months for the Entertainment pass - channel selection on Now Tv is much more limited than Sky but you will get Sky Atlantic.

Are you cancelling your entire Sky subscription or just the HD/box sets?

Sorry, I kinda missed that nuance, i had it in my head it was the entire Sky subscription you were cancelling!

If you cancel box sets you only lose access to Box sets and HD channels. Not sure if you lose access to already downloaded content in that case - you *may* if it was the HD version. Maybe ask in Talk To Sky to be sure.

Your PVR functions are not affected as long as you keep some sort of subscription.
