    Hello,
Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good brand of lick. Not the fancy 4 grand ones, standard carpet one.

Friend of mine recommended a roco lick that is extra wide. Any thoughts?

    Feedback greatly appreciated.

Yeah I just spotted those, looks tidy alright.
    Are they well made?

    Ok thanks for the info!
Anyone got experience of the roco lick that is extra wide?

The wide Roco won't be far off the 4 grand that you don't wish to spend..... I think I heard €3,500 a couple of years ago......

Friend of mine bought it for €2600. Hard to believe though.

Brand new? I thought the standard 8' Roco would nearly cost that....

ive one from Kavanagh engineering, i bought after a fair bit of searching. seriously well made wiper. i wouldnt be too inclined to go over the 8' though. if you need to keep it closish to the ground and youve any humps or even slight hills the barrell of the wiper will hit the ground and throw up one side. Check for steel barrell and decent bearings, easy adjustment and off set a must imo.

I don’t know but I reckon the wider than 8’ licks have a wheel at the ends of the extensions.
I’d say the 8’ would be plenty anyway for me. I’ll check out kavanaghs thanks!
Why is the offset a must? So you’re not possing what you’re licking?

Yeah, he said it was a few years ago though but I reckon it might have been far more.
Roco 8’ licks on DoneDeal are €2500, hard to justify though.

I have no experience of these, but they look to be well made, and similar to a Roco for a lot less money... Maybe someone on here knows something about them? https://www.donedeal.ie/otherfarmmachinery-for-sale/weed-rush-licker/17056380

Tramping lines of weed in front of you. Kavanagh uses a small top link for adjusting the height and another for the tensioner I regret not getting him to put a ram instead for the height with a lock valve. I’d often just back in the Jeep and give a paddock a run hence the reason for the lock.

    Ah yeah I see,
I can’t find details of kavanaghs, have you any?

I bought one of these 3 years ago
used regularily great job really strong need a good quad on hilly /rough ground
Had a CDAX weedwiper really light and fragile did a great job but fell apart was the easiest machine on chemical and no need to go both directions as a result of the diagonal design of the wipers.Really light and easily transported I think they have beefed up the chassis since
