Jobspath(Seetec) first app with personal advisor!!!

Hi all. I got a "congratulations" letter last week stating I was selected to take part in Jobpath(lucky me!) I had a group meeting along with about 10 other people, where we were shown a PowerPoint presentation about the pros of Seetec(jobspath). Ive since done my research about these privatised companies and am sick to my stomach with what i have been reluctantly selected to take part in. I have my first meeting with my personal advisor this Thursday, so I haven't been asked to sign the PPP form(contract!) yet. After reading so much about this dreaded contract, I am determined not to sign it, but also worried about how this will be received at my first meeting. I have read that legally they can't stop my money if I refuse to sign, but are they still doing this...could they? Has anyone refused to sign and not been stopped money or what was your outcome? Another question I have is, I have applied for a CE scheme in childcare and this looks like it will be going ahead. I have an interview with a creche where I will be doing the CE scheme on Thursday morning and then my first app with personal advisor on Thursday afternoon. So what should i do when i go to app in the afternoon. I obviously tell them I'll be hopefully starting a CE scheme, but does that mean I will also have to continue with Seetec(Jobspath)? Hopefully someone can help with my questions.

    Hi,

You don't have to sign the PPP. When you refuse to do so, they will
refer you to Social Welfare, who encourage you to sign it, but just
say you don't agree with the data protection consent clause. The person
who you deal with in Social Welfare will tell you there and then (or if they
are not sure will seek advice from higher up in the Department) that as long you "engage"
by attending appointments, that you don't need to sign the PPP and your money can't be cut.

I myself applied for a number of CE schemes through JobPath, shortly after they changed the rules
(from 1st June 2018). The idea is that you are meant to do both at the same time,
but in my case, after being referred for CE, I haven't heard anything from JobPath at all... 9 weeks later.
I haven't heard anything from any of the CE schemes either!

Plus, by not signing this PPP, they can't contact you at all (phone, e-mail, at least I haven't , anyway).
Other people who have signed seem to be hounded by them at times.

I wish you all the best :)

When I was with the parasites they introduced electronic signing ie sign on computer screen with a mouse. I had told them since day 1 that I can not and never had used a computer so was unable to sign.. They actually signed my name themselves which I am told is illegal.. I have given details to a TD who is informing SW about this so will be interesting to see what comes out of it..So like the poster above said do not sign it, Regina Doherty and the head of SW are on record stating nobody is obliged to sign the PPP.

Thanks all for your replies. I definitely won't be signing anything, but when I go in tomorrow afternoon, do I tell him/her straight away I won't be signing the ppp or do I give all the details they require for ppp and then at the end when they ask me to sign, do I decline?

Probably because one company could only deliver a certain amount of a service and the other company was hired to supplement it.
TN and Seetec have been hugely successful in identifying JSA claimants who shouldn’t be on JSA at all, but on another SW payment altogether such as Disabilty Allowance Carers Allowance OPFP Or WFP.
While TN/Seetec can’t help people to apply for the correct payment, they do point them in the right direction.

Say nothing to start. Be polite and open with them, when they hand you the PPP form to sign then you refuse to sign.

Tell them you are not obligated to sign the form however you are willing to fully co-operate with them. They will try to intimidate you by threatening to have your SW cut which of course is a load of sh*te.

Firstly they don't have the authority and secondly if they report you to SW you simply tell them that you are not refusing to participate with Seetec but you are not obligated to sign the PPP.

But whatever way you wish to play it remember it's completely up to you.

Personally I wouldn't allow these Jobsworth clowns intimidate me, remember they don't give a sh*t about you except for the commission they'll make. If you refuse to sign the PPP they won't be entitled to any commission and they'll most likely fcuk off and leave you alone.
