Applying for BTEA months in advance?

    Hi all

I'm currently trying to plan going to College and am facing a lot of difficulty. I am considering deferring as I'm not sure whether it's feasible for me to go back this year. If I defer my course, can I apply for BTEA in advance for next year? Are there any time constraints as to when I can apply. Seeing as I would already be accepted onto the course for next year, I do not know whether or not I can apply early and figure out early whether or not I would be accepted, so as to allow greater time for preparation. I am currently on IB, and would have to move to JSA beforehand regardless, according to the Citizens Information office. Any insight would be much appreciated. The Citizens Information office said they could not advise me directly on the issue as there is no section for it on their website.

This is very easily sorted out. It’s simply a question of completing the BTEA application form and submitting it.
Then youll know wether they will allow you to defer for a year and there will be no confusion or misunderstandings as
the response you will get to your application will be in writing.

I left it late and got shunted into Jobpth, now I'm disqualified from BTEA.
