What laptop would you recommend?

    Hi
Looking to get a new laptop and not sure what to get.

I currently have a 15" Lenovo but find it to be too bulky so would prefer a 13" or possibly an 11".

My main uses would be for typing Word documents, a bit of streaming and also decent storage while also being lightweight and portable.
I was looking at the MacBook Air but it's extremely expensive and probably no need to go that dear for what I need it for.
I would like one that's very quick which is why the more expensive ones may suit better. I know someone with a Chromebook and the speed is painfully slow.

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks

Not sure if you're ever in the UK but if it was an option, Curry's are doing MacBook Air for £799 but will take at least £200 off if you trade in any old laptop bringing it down to £599. Might be an option if you're ever there or know someone in UK.

The MacBook Air is very outdated at this point. It hasn't been updated in years, inside or out. It has a bad screen that doesn't compare well to any modern equivalent, the processors are 3 generations behind (5th generation in the Air, compared to 8th gen in modern laptops). And at the entry level storage is low at 128GB.

It is expected to be updated immenantly actually:

Now I wouldn't expect this to be a particularly cheap machine, but it will be the cheapest in the line. It's just that this is Apple we're talking of, where cheap doesn't mean cheap...

Honestly I would think your money would be better spen on a Windows machine.

*Typed on my Apple Macbook Pro...

Thanks for the replies. Yeah I'll probably stay away from the MacBook Air as it's just too expensive for what I'll be using it for.

Any good windows laptops that won't break the bank?
