Hi there....hoping for a little advice? My son did not get enough points for the level 8 course in Business Management DIT. He will get offered, we hope, his 3rd choice Logistics and Supply Chain Management AND level 6 Business Management. Not sure which way to go...level 6 appears great introduction to business but the other more specialised and job prospects good..
Did anyone do either? Where can you go with level 6? Sorry long post!

Hey there, can't answer your question on which is best, but make sure he looks into the progression options from the level 6 course.

I didn't do it myself, but there was a lot of people in the level 8 course who started out in the level 6, and progressed on to the level 7 and then the level 8. It's potentially only going to be one extra year (you skip year 1 and 2 of the level 8 if your level 7 grades are ok) and you come out of if with 2 degrees and a cert so make sure he explores that option aswell! Anecdotally, the lads who came in via that route usually did a bit better in final year. They were a year older and generally had their head screwed on a little better!

Thanks so much for that. Will explore all progression options

BAM lvl 8 is pretty well regarded and covers a wide area. A lot of people from the level 6 & level 7 course usually end up in the level 8 marketing course or level 8 Business & Management.
