We are currently on a HAP scheme with two adults 2 children. We have a new baby since Dec and we had thought we had registered the new dependent with our local council and hap.
Cut a long story short I've sent in all documents to prove the new dependent 2 weeks ago now but still haven't heard anything. Can anyone tell me if our hap weekly payment will be decreased with new dependent and will they back date it to the month of child's birth December

Because number of chilren and sex of children determine what kind of accomidation you require from the council.

You can't get HAP without being on the social housing list.

Most of the time when you get hap your considered to be housed and taken off the housing list ,
And if I remember correctly the op previously said they had a council house ,

    So yeah
