Can't find a valve close to leaking tap.

    Hi all,

I just discovered a leak in the flexible pipe about two inches below the kitchen tap itself.

With a screwdriver, I turned off the valve just under the gas boiler that sends hot water all over the house. But that's the problem - there is no hot water anywhere now, taps, shower, etc.

I searched and searched for a valve closer to the tap itself (or anywhere after the point that the pipe splits into different directions - upstairs and downstairs). I honestly can't believe that there isn't one, and that the only way to turn off one hot tap is to turn off all the taps.

So I am wondering if people on here will also share my disbelief, or if the lack of a valve for that specific hot tap sounds fairly likely to posters who will be more familiar with things.
