    hi,

my drain entering the septic tank has been getting blocked recently. It would seem that the piece of drain under the first view point has somehow moved above the drain exit point. See attachment. Can this be fixed simply by cuttint out the piece that is proud and replacing it??

    Thanks for looking.

Little more info required. Inlet to AJ on RHS and outlet LHS from your description? Pic appears to show gradient falling left to right?
LHS pipe broken off? Is this the AJ at inlet?
    Photo showing more detail needed.

Is your tank full and backing up? Have you a T piece inside the septic tank or just let the 4" hang there?

    Hi,
    Rhs into AJ.
    Lhs is from house.
I don't think it was ever connected, looks like it was originally lying below outlet.

Tank is fine and working correctly.

Back up occurring between house and Lhs outlet.

    Thanks

If the RHS goes into the septic tank, its blocked from that pic. You have effluent just percolating into the ground there. Not good;) If you have a well hope its far away from that.
Dig back about a meter around the aj, cut both pipes, feed new section thru, with top half cut like existing piece within aj. Couple both pipes together, making sure you keep falls.
Easy DIY job, all you need is shovel to dig, saw, file to edge pipe, 2 couplers and small length of pipe (& washing up liquid for lubrication). Make sure no one uses toilet when you are doing it:D:D
When finished, go back to 2nd last aj and rod the pipe. Good as new....
