Any issues with 08 or 09 Avensis 1.4 or 1.6 L Petrol cars?

    Hi
    I am looking at the Toyota Avensis, probably 08 or 09, in petrol (1.4 or 1.6).
    Were there any general issues with these cars?
    From reading a lot here, it seems that if buying an 8 or 9 year old car, then the Avensis is one of the more reliable cars. Would you agree with this?

    There was no 1.4 Avensis so maybe you're thinking of the Auris/Corolla.

    Either way no real issues.

    Petrol usage can be higher than you'd expect on a motorway but that's it.

    It should be noted that motor tax on a 2009 old shape Avensis 1.6 petrol is €750 due to them having higher emissions on the newer tax system.

    Newer shape 09 however is far cheaper
