17 euro a month but you get a free month.

I need new wipers and a mini valet and fuel card makes it seem like a decent deal.

I've a dealer closer to work so makes it handy , may not suit all.

You can use each of the services once per month.

One thing to note is the free month only runs to the end of the month you are in. So if you sign up now you only get till end of August. So for the full free month you are better off signing up September 1st.

I don't see any limitations on how often you can use the services...

in the FAQ it says once a month for the car wash and suggests once a month for all benefits.

The free trial actually looks to be the remainder of the current month, PLUS a full month. When I click to sign up it says the free trial ends on October 1st.

Yeah I asked on the chat box it's mini valet 1 per month but also the car wash in topaz you get.

Thats interesting about the free trial so you could get a valet this month and then next month also :D

I don't think it is actually a bad deal with 5c off a litre at topaz too when you sign up for the fuel card that would save a couple of euros a fill.

I persume thst when they say replace they mean that they will fit them but you still have to pay for the part.

"Is there any additional cost when I get my wiper blades or lightbulbs changed?

There are no additional charges for changing the wiper blades or lightbulbs. Additional charges may only apply if you wish to receive additional services or repairs during your visit."

This is from FAQ, there is nothing mentioned about paying either for bulbs or wiper blades.

Nope, I signed up for the 4.95 per month option back in May which includes replacement wiper blades, bulbs (including xenon bulbs) and 20% off the cost of a service. I had my wipers replaced last week and there was no charge. The dealer normally charges around €55 for the same wipers. BMW main dealer servicing is typically expensive but 20% discount off that brings it a lot closer to BMW specialist prices and keeps the full service history intact if your car is fairly new. A fiver a month is well worth it just for the replacement wipers and bulbs imo.

Seems a great deal, would it include fitting of xenon bulbs to awkward models where bumpers might have to come off? Think previous 7 Series.

Don't know about the 7 Series but it does cover replacing standard xenon bulbs. Doesn't include LED lights though.

I booked my car in next month for mini valet , health check and wiper blade change. The woman I spoke to originally quoted me around the 100 euro for the valet before I told her I was a First subscriber.

She didn't know much about the service as it appears to be new so she wasn't sure if I could only get one thing from the package per month so she had to phone me back. She did so and confirmed it was 1 set of wiper blades per 12 months. I don't see this condition mentioned anywhere and if I was paying for the service I would have challenged it. Bulbs can be changed when they break as often as it occurs.

For anyone signing up and wanting to use the free month make sure you book as with my garage the earliest appointment I could get was mid September!

Who replaces wiper blades more than annually? Environmental impact of exploiting "the deal"

It depends. Frosty weather accidentally turn on auto wipers before ice clears. Happened to me even if you turn off immediately it will swipe a few times which can be enough to damage rubber.

There is a bargain alert thread on it.Its a while back since I got the card but it was via a link from one of the groupscheme sites.

Iirc I didn't even need to join the site and no money had to change hands.

I'm a subscriber and I just got an email today saying I can rent a BMW M2 Competition/ BMW X3 M40i/ BMW 440i Gran Coupe for 3 days for €150! Sounds like a good deal has anyone done it before? Any good? Thinking of doing a trip to Galway in March might rent one.

It says FROM €150 per rental , have you got an actual quote for one of the above ?

Had a quick read of T&C's , collect from Sandyford only, €1500 euro blocked on card for duration of rental ,over 25's only , if you've committed an offence under the Road Traffic Act in the last 5 years youre excluded and I guess that includes speeding FPN's.

I got my parking bulbs changed on my E60(the angel eye bulbs), took the car for the day, as the headlights had to be removed. All free.
They were going to do a mini valet, but I declined, as I prefer to wash it myself.

Frank Keane NR would not give me the parts (A wiper arm) to fit myself if I was to get the discount.

I got replacement wiper blades through this deal last year, they insisted they had to fit them if I wanted to avail of them free of charge under BMW First. It takes two minutes to fit them but I didn't care at the time if they wanted to waste time taking the car into their workshop to fit a set of wiper blades as I had a good poke around the showroom. I guess they need to do it so that they cross charge BMW Ireland under the scheme. On another day however I might have been more stuck for time and would be a bit annoyed if they had to hold the car for a few hours to just fit a set of wipers.

BTW has anyone actually rented a M2?

I'm renting the x3 m40i in a couple of weeks, doing a weekend away in Kerry with the family. Would be scared of what would happen if I was in my own in the M2!!

    I was the same.
The car had to be checked in and the work done by a BMW mechanic.
I guess one reason is to force you to hang around and so you end up browsing stuff in the showroom.
