    Hi,

I got a letter this morning asking me to attend a meeting with Jobpath, I've spent the morning looking into it and have found literally no positive feedback on the entire thing, after reading multiple threads on various sites I'm still left with a few questions:

1)if I refuse to sign a contract with them, will my jobseekers be cut or decreased?

2)am I now disqualified from Back to Education, CE Schemes & Fas Courses?

3Why is such a deeply flawed and under performing (only 18% of people on it find work?) program still running?

At least 40% of people referred to TN/Seetec discover that they shouldn’t have been on JSA in the first place, so they are encouraged to apply for the SW payment that is more appropriate to them so while they haven’t got a job out of it, they are no longer on JSA and no longer on the live register.
    I’ve explained this many times.
Maybe you are one of these people?Even if you find Jobpath tedious and non productive then it really is not going to cost you anything to participate.

I don't understand this post, do you reply to this thread by mistake?

    What don’t you understand specifically?

    1. You do not have to sign their contract (Personal Progression Plan). They issue several of these over the 12 months that you are indentured to them. I suggest you don't as it makes it more difficult for them to get their insidious commissions so they may back off. However you must make it clear that you are otherwise still willing to engage in the programme as obligated.

    2. Since June 1st you are eligible to apply for C.E Schemes. They will have to accomadate the farce that is their review meetings around this.

    3. It is a significant waste of taxpayers money. Most of this percentage would have gotten employment anyway. As you learn Seetec/Turas Nua are only interested in making substantial profits. They will not actually help in securing you employment. The current government have made a huge error in this which will eventually cost them a lot of votes in the next election. Unfortunately they are tied into a contract for the next couple of years. However Jobpath will gladly pretend to the DEASP that they got you employment to further gain commissions at three monthly periods over the first 12 months of a job that you sourced yourself. You are under no obligation (whatever they say) to tell them of this employment or employer details to scupper this. Just sign off if you get a job and your time with them is finished. Then block them on your phone and bin any other correspondence. Do not allow yourself to be bullied during or after your experience on Jobpath. They are renowned for this.

    Hi,

2)am I now disqualified from Back to Education, CE Schemes & Fas Courses?

EDIT!!!!! I just read WIZWEBs' post - I was not aware of the change made re CE Schemes in June!!!!

FYI while you are engaging with JobPath, you do not qualify for CE Schemes/Tus etc. You can participate in limited courses, at the discretion of JobPath....

If I was to do it again, I would not sign the PPP. You can still fully participate and comply with JobPath, without signing.

If you do not sign this, will you be penalized by having your payment reduced/cut?

You can't refuse per se. You need to still engage with them or yes, your payment will stop.

It might be flawed, but its better than sitting on your hole.

You can decline to sign the PPP, but agree to 'engage' with them.
The PPP allows them access to your future employment details (theoretically to the job that they helped you get) to use to remain in contact with you AND YOUR EMPLOYER for up to a year. This allows them earn a commission for helping you get this job.
You can engage with them and their processes without signing the contract, and your benefits would not be affected.
