First sun holiday for the family next week and trying to get a few plans to keep the children happy and occupied (ages 7&8).

Staying in small apartment complex with pool so many days to relax there but want to have a few days out planned. Water parks etc.

Would be very grateful for any suggestions.

Same as you but we are staying in Marbella & with a toddler

We were looking into family things to do online & all of the family friendly parks seem to be located in Benalmadena , which for us is a 50 min bus journey as we are not renting a car.

Other day trips that we have done are Selwo zoo in Estapona & Bioparc Fuengirola ( which is another zoo, smaller and more to do around it) there is nothing around Selwo.
Funegirola has a beautiful beach so you could definitely spend a whole day there.

theres a water park in fuengirola. if you want to venture further you could go in to Malaga. Best way from Mijas Costa is bus to Fuengirola and train into Malaga. the train stations slap bang in the city centre. Theres a place called funny beach near marbella. its amusments, peddle boats and go carts. Cable car ride up from Benalmadena is good aswell.
