Renault Fluence - auto-gearbox warning light

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction here.

Warning light came up other day on my 2011 Renault Fluence (Automatic) saying 'Check Auto-Gearbox' and car seemed a little limp. Once out of car and started back up later it was gone.

Then it came up again and went again. The the following came up 'Check anti-pollution system'.

Started it fine this morning and it's come back up with the 'Check Auto-Gearbox' light and that is where I've left it. In work now.

Can anyone with experience or knowledge help me out?

Thanks in advance and much appreciated.

    Get the car serviced.

Could you elaborate on that please?

    It can be several reasons.
I suggest you get car to a mechanic and let them scan it for error codes.
They will also give you a quote for fixing it.

Thanks. I will be doing that although I’d like to be armed with some knowledge first if I can. Thought the combination of auto gearbox and anti-pollution warning lights may jog some posters memory on a previous issue etc.
