The series of terrible first halves for SA continues

Yeah, they were able to turn it around against a disheartened England at home but Argentina have a significant lead and are working hard to keep them out before half time.

Could well be the game. Argentina much more clinical.

Big turnaround for Argentina coming from that abysmal summer test series.

Or Maybe SA aren’t that good and England were just really abysmal.

The absurdly premature hype train came to a somewhat crashing halt today. All Blacks will clean sweep this.

Was that not always going to be the case. It was just the scorelines that were in question.

A win for SA would have kept the competition interesting.

NZ v SA is in week 4 and it looks like NZ will be playing to win the whole comp then.

Te Toiroa Tahuriorangi sits on the bench for the kiwis this weekend. !!!

Would any munster fan have thought that after his few months there a few seasons back?

His name was actually T. But he had a stutter.

ah... im definitely having a "senior moment" :D

found the guy, Te Aihe Toma..... starting 9 for counties these days.

anyway, enough of that, lets brush this under the carpet and forget it ever happened :D

Te Aihe Toma was the player at Munster.

Nehe Milner-Skudder starts as well. I really hope he goes well against Argentina. He's one of the best outside backs in the world but injury has robbed him of two seasons of his career. Love watching him play.

You had me worried there Syd. I was thinking Triple T was in the U20s last year but he played for Munster a few years ago?!?! WTF! How did I miss that?

But it turns out Syd took too much LSD at EP and I'm not losing my mind ðŸ˜

Foley dropped to the bench for the Wallabies. Beale to start at 10 and Toomua in at 12.

Was Foley the problem? I guess Cheika has to try something

    Also Pocock is out injured.

That's a massive, massive blow. He's been carrying this team at times and is their most important player in my opinion.

That's a big advantage to South Africa and losing his quality really takes from the game unfortunately.

Ben Smith, Laumape and Retallick all go off injured in the first 10 minutes of the game.

All Blacks getting a really bad run of injuries here. Even before that they aren't quite holding their shape in attack.

Moyano scores a world class individual try.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,351 ✭✭✭✭Hurrache

    That was lovely.

All Blacks passing right before the line is a sight to behold

Nicely taken try, but in reality he stepped one player then relied on poor defending after that.

ABs guilty of throwing the ball away multiple times. Should take this a bit more seriously.

A lot being missed. Forward pass from Argentina followed by high tackle on Milner-Skudder. Forward pass from the ABs not missed, though... :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,327 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

I'm always amazed at the speed New Zealand can generate one phase after static ball. Just a quick pop pass from a forward that sucked in an extra defender and they're now on the outside.

Mo'unga has been taking goal kicking tips from Barrett.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,327 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

    There's no obstruction there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,351 ✭✭✭✭Hurrache

    Ah can't claim that's obstruction.

Argentina out allblacking the all blacks!

Are you allowed to swing your foot like that in a tackle ? Perenara basically kicked him in the face.

My stream died - was that given or no? Obstruction seems very harsh, he was getting out of his own players way.

    Foot in touch, no try

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,327 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

    Mo'unga isn't having a good game.

Missed touch and dropped passes galore.

Did that steal not come from the tackler there?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,290 ✭✭✭alwald

Was the foot really in touch there? I honestly don't think it was...the try should have been awarded.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,327 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Mo'unga drops an Argentina cross kick and Ben Smith has to dot it down behind his own line.

    5m scrum to Argentina.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,327 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

That'll break your heart of your Argentinian. Missed simple tackle son Lienert Brown and Perenara walks under the posts for the try.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,327 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

3 infringements 5 metres from New Zealand's line but no yellow card warning.

  • Administrators Posts: 54,929 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

    That was lovely. Great try.
