Another - looking for a 7 seater thread

Following on from a boardsie finding me a 08 Skoda Octavia a few years ago in Kerry which is still going at 110,000km I've another request.

We're looking to get 7 seater for the wife for school runs etc.

My wife is Eastern European so a UK /NI car could be an issue with miles ( can it be changed or is there an overlay for the speedometer)

Looking for a reasonably hi spec (preferably with sat nav and rear sensors). Diesel

She doesn't drive a whole lot but will need to in the future. Looking at the possibility of an automatic.

Budget is about 12-15k. Would need to be adjusted if I had to travel to the UK with the extra costs.

I'd be happy with something like an Alhambra/Sharan/Kodiaq.

    TIA

Can't speak for other makes, the Citroen Grand Picasso is a simple change to switch from Miles to Kilometres, which also changes the speed indication, which is digital in the centre of the dash.

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁

Automatics are hard to find. we drive them.

Alhambra and Sharan and the same vehicle just with a different badge. The other option in that range is Galaxy

The Kodiaq is brand new and will be 30k+ still if you can find a second hand one. Also they are a lot smaller than a Alhambra

Are you looking for a full 7 seats? or 5 seats plus 2 in boot for small kids. If just 2 in boot for small kids then you have a huge range of cars to pick from. If you want proper seats in boot that an adults can sit into you are limited to Alhambra/Sharan/Galaxy

The inbetween option and every popular in Ireland is SMAX. Bigger than Gran Picasso and all the others but smaller than Galaxy etc. It is more like a car to drive....the Galaxy etc are more like a transit to drive.....

My Galaxy is UK import, very easy to change from Miles to KM. Plus the speedo is in miles & km. The only things that changes is the km/ltr etc and the distances to destinations

Looks like the picasso has a lot of known electrical problems.

A full 7 seats would be nice. The kids won't stay small forever!!

The newer style Grand Scenic is a fine machine and the EDC auto is a smooth performer
