    Hi

I am currently on illness benefit and have been since last October, before that I was on jobseekers allowance and supplementary welfare allowance as far back as last April. Am I eligible for the special rate of maintenance grant under the criteria of "Claiming long-term social welfare payments" outlined on the citizens information page?

Are you referring to the SUSI grant? If your entire household income for the whole of 2017 was below 22000 then you will qualify for the special rate of grant.

Isn't the SUSI special rate only paid to people on longterm allowances?
OP is on IB- and that does not qualify for the special rate.
