I got 2 weeks payment into my bank account yesterday, in one transaction. A friend suggested that maybe they are on holidays next week or something. I think it’s just an error, but wanted to check if anyone else got the same before I face into the grueling task of trying to get them to answer the phone on Monday.

Same here but it was a little more than a extra week.

    Same here.
I got one full IB payment on Wednesday- and another half payment IB on Thursday.
Strange. I just wait and see what happens next week.

Just found this on their webpage:
    http://www.welfare.ie/en/Pages/Illness-Benefit-Customer-Update.aspx
Had a look at my online bank statement. No payment missing. In fact I got half of the money (exactly 50 % !) for next week already.
Confusion seems to rule the DoSP.

Yes be very wary. Seems to be a major malfunction. In fairness, it doesn’t happen that much.

    This is on twitter.

Payment of Illness Benefit Update: Please note that during the recent changeover to the new illness benefit forms, the Department chose to move payments in line with certification dates- so some customers may have received an additional payment this week as an adjustment #update

I guess I’ll wait and see if I get a payment next week so. It’s all very confusing.

Got a normal full IB payment this morning onto my bank account.
Effectively this means I got a half extra payment!

DoSP still has some problems with IB:

Do you usually get it on a Wednesday? I always get mine on a Thursday so just presumed everyone does.

Hi, I got a payment and a half last Tuesday so was expecting at least a half payment today but just checked my bank and nothing? Kids are back to school on Wednesday so I really needed that money to finish off the little bits and pieces. Basically all my husband wages goes on food, bills and diesel, there is never anything left!

I got the correct payment this week. Nothing was clawed back. I am still having an additional half-payment in my till.
I seem to be one of the beneficiaries of the new system. But you never know what's around the corner. I read on the DoSP webpage that they still have not sorted out the mess. They might deduct the additional money next week- or any other week.
    Funny situation.

I got an extra €33 this morning. I rang my local intreo office and they said just to keep an eye on my payments for now as illness benefit are refusing to answer the phones.
