    Any one own one? That has not needed timing chain and head done?

    The missus had one up until recently, changed the oil religiously and never had an issue with it. It was underpowered for its size, did use a little oil and sounded a lot less refined than my 95 civic but it never really gave any trouble (bar the horn issue) and it done high motorway mileage every day. Personally its not a car id go for but the missus enjoyed it.

    They are well built in as much as you wont be replacing suspension bushes or windows regulators etc but the 1.4 and 1.6 petrol engines really are pure dirt. We have never had one grace our garage that didn't at some point need a chain or head gasket or complete replacement for that matter. The rear coolant pipe likes to burst randomly cooking the head and with no temp gauge there is no idea until the damage is done. Oil pressure switches like to fail about spray high pressure oil all over the engine bay too.
