    Hi All,

Can anyone recommend a nice weekend hotel / destination for myself and my wife and our 4.5 year old & 2 year old?

We have previously had very good experiences at Kelly's Hotel, Rosslare and Inchydoney in Clonakilty, Cork, 4 star-ish type places,
but we would like to see what else is out there?

The kids enjoy a swimming pool segment.

We are planning to tavel circa mid September.

    Any suggestions please??

    MtM

Garryvoe hotel in ballycotton bay; cork. Top quality and very family friendly. We found it by acccident a few years ago and go at least twice a year now.

I'm from Gorey and would agree with the comments above. We've enjoyed the Newpark in Kilkenny too.

Fota island hotel in Cork - beside the wildlife park, nice pool etc. You can rent houses in the grounds or stay in the hotel rooms. Lots to do around Cork....

Hotel Woodstock just outside Ennis, lovely spot and good value to be had.

    Thanks everyone,

kids are now 6.5 and 4.

We ended up staying at Amber Springs this time last year and loved it.
It's a unique property - lots to to for little people.

Just wondering what else people would recommend.
We have stayed at Kelly's Hotel, Rosslare, Inchydoney in Clonakilty, Cork, and Parknasilla in Kerry and enjoyed them all.
All are booked out until Sept this year.

I'll look into Fota and Garryvoe, but are there any others that are similar that people would suggest?

Druids glen in Wicklow. Check out pigs back. They have deals for sept. Lovely grounds, playground, a playroom, spotlessly clean.

Just to follow up and close the loop on this thread.

We went away to Druids Glen for a few days last month.
I have to say, it was fabulous.

The kids loved the trails and the playground.
Food in the hotel was very good and the pool and other areas were very well run from a social distancing point of view.

    We will return.

    Thanks all.
