    Hi all,

heading to las vegas next month for 4 nights. staying in the mgm grand ina stay well room. Anyone here stayed there before? What are the fees etc also do you need a security deposit read it is 100 a night which would be 400 for me which is alot out of my budget as i dont hold a credit card atm so it would be out of my debit card. Any advice on places to eat etc?

    Thanks,

I stayed there 3 times, going in October not sure i'll stay there or MGM Park closer to stadium.

Its handy location, good craic in the bars and casino floor. Ka is a really good show one of the better ones I've been to. Never had a bad meal in Wolfgang pucks in there either.

Can't help about security as I have cc.

If you don't have a credit card you MUST put the hold on your debit card or in rare occasions be allowed put cash deposit down, but will be in the 100 per night range which is standard and should have been expected. (you will get it back anyway) One way around it might be to ask them to remove the mini bar and any extras etc. Then they might do 25-50 hold per night.

On top of that you will be charged 35-45 dollars per night for resort fees plus tax and city tax maybe?

One thing you never do is skimp on a planned trip to Vegas. Try Atlantic City next time

With credit card, no security. Email them about debit, to be sure.

When we were there we had no credit card and they wouldn’t / couldn’t take debit card.
We asked if we could pay for room in advance and they could remove mini bar and block us charging anything to the room.
That was no problem and it reduced the security deposit down to $50 a night paid in cash.
This was about 4 years ago.
