Why part time? Are they going to third level education?

    Help them with their CV.
Make a list of supermarkets, pubs, leaflet distributors or similar and send him or her out to hand in their CV.
I wouldn't employe an 18 year old who's older sibling was job hunting for them. Your sibling needs to come across as reasonably mature, independent and self-motivated.

Yip, this weekend I will help them with their CV and hope to give them a bit of help getting some work under their belt. I agree with you , the 18 year old needs to sell themselves and do most of the work, they are keen to get working, few things (wont get into on here ) in the past knocked their confidence etc etc, but your right they must be motivated and keen to get the work themselves too.

The reason why I asked about third level is there's no real point going job hunting if you don't know what you're going to be doing in just over a month.

They don't need a CV. But they need a cover letter. I'm making this up but it should be something like this:

    Dear Hiring Manager

My name is Mickey. I recently finished secondary school and will be starting college in October. I am looking for a part-time job which I can start immediately, and continue throughout my time in college.

Although I have never worked before, I am very motivated and responsible, and I am willing to listen and follow your instructions.

If you believe you have anything suitable for me, please contact me at X.

    Your truly

    Mickey Mikey

The cover letter should be given to the highest decision maker, i.e. the owner. If the owner is unavailable, it should be the manager. Etc.

There are many jobs that you can do with no experience. Here, I am sharing some ideas with you.

Salesman job: Do you have any retail store near you? If yes, then you should visit there and talk with a manager that you are looking for a job. Mostly retail stores hire the teens after asking some reference or identity check. It would be a good job for you as you don't have any experience.

Waiter at Resturant: First of all, you need to understand that there is no big or small job. If you don't have any experience then you can also start by performing as a waiter at a nearby restaurant. It will also make an addition in your blank CV. Many entrepreneurs started their career in this way.

Dog Walker: If you love animals then anyone can offer you a job of dogwalker. You can also ask your neighbours do they need a dog walker?

Cook: How you are in cooking. If you are good at cooking then go and offer your yummy cooking service to any household, restaurant or office.

Online Jobs: These days teens love to do freelancing jobs. Although such jobs also need some experience but it depends. If you are good at typing then you will find many jobs online. You can also answer online paid surveys to get some income. However, you will have to check the authenticity of all online jobs due to a massive range of online scams.

Delivery Boys: Mostly delivery companies hire people with little experience in delivery service. You can also see such jobs.
