I was given a cheque last week for supplementary allowance while i wait for the one parent family. The cwo said its issued on a thursday. I did not receive a cheque today. Is it normally by cheque this payment is paid? I got what looked like a receipt from the social in the post yesterday with the amount on it but it was for last week up to today. Im confused. Not sure if i should go into post office or is what i received payment

Assuming you were given a hand written cheque, what you received in the post was the advice slip that normally would be attached to a cheque that would issue in the post or if your payment was made into a bank account. In your case the payment would normally be put into the post office this week.
