Notification to Attend Individual activation Meeting

    Hi all,

I recently received a letter saying that I'm scheduled to attend a  "1:2:1" meeting in the local LES centre (NOT the Intreo office) and I was wondering what I should expect when I attend and if anyone has any advice as to what will happen or how to approach it? Or why it's in the LES office, rather than Intreo itself?

It states that its purpose is "to review your particular employment objectives, assess your education, training or development needs and to agree a Personal Progression Plan" - as there has been considerable negative feedback here and on various other forums about Jobpath and their PPPs, I'm wondering is this effectively the same thing by another route? Or, if not, does anyone know what's the difference?

Any and all information will be very gratefully received, cheers!

It'll be discuss further education or community employment schemes. The ones I've been to have been no more than a 10 minute chat once a month and a total waste of time. It was like seeing the school guidance councillor to be honest.

They are nothing like seetec and despite what I've said above for someone with particular needs they could be a big help but for anyone with a decent level of education and experience already and are just struggling to find work in their area it'll be another box ticking exorcise.

Thanks a lot for the response Enfilade, that's more or less what I thought it might be, but just wanted to hear from someone who'd been through it themselves and would have some first-hand information - cheers.

Anyone else with any knowledge or information that they could share about this specific process?

All and any input or experience will be very welcome indeed - thanks!

  • Any more feedback on this OP? Just got a letter for this. Only finished JobPath on the 6th. I remember at the start of JobPath we were told at the group meeting we'd be informed of CE Schemes etc after it ended. Didn't hear a thing and the next thing was the letter for this.
