Car accident/need advice/solicitor

My wife had a car accident in which the other driver was responsible for the damages. We have a picture which shows everything very clear. I went at the scene and exchange details because i was the policy holder for our insurance.
Asked him what he want to do does he wants to go with insurance or without insurance and if he want we can sort out this without insurance. He said we will leave this to experts. Then asked my wife what happened and was it her mistake or his. When she showed me pictures the pictures were very closed which shows only damage of the both cars. she didn’t take pictures from far away which can show the whole scene. I asked him if he have any pictures to send it to me because i knew that it was his mistake. Eventually he had a picture which shows that my wife was innocent.
Now the story begins from here. When he sent me pictures i said to him it was his fault and how he wants to pay my repair cost? He made up story and said to me “you saw the cars and accepted the liability and now you saying i’m liable”. And again on the text message i said to him that ALL I SAID TO YOU IS THAT IF YOU WANT WE CAN SORT THIS OUT WITHOUT INSURANCE.
My insurance company rejected his claim straightaway because it was very clear from the picture but now his insurance company is disputing that we accepted the liability first and they have a proof.
Now the problem is i had only 3rd party cover and we are unable to dispute this through our insurance. My wife is using buses to go to work. Can anybody suggest me any good solicitor or what options i have to proof the innocency of my wife.
The only proof the other driver is talking about is my text message in which i said (if you want we can sort out this without insurances). It was an suggestion not the acceptance of liability and he is thinking that after showing the text msg he will get away with this. My stupidity was giving him suggestion to not involve the insurance companies because i knew the headache we have to face and we are facing now because we have 3rd party cover only and we need car everyday and i was expecting him to pay me repair cost.
