We have a ford s max 1.8 diesel engine....our problem began when she had a burst pipe at the back of the engine, causing her to roast herself...so pipe was fixed only to discover the car still roasted herself leading to the head gasket being fixed. So since she was in the garage she had timing belts changed a service the head gasket done shock tops ( I think that is all). Since she has came back she has lost acceleration on low revs once she is going she appears to be okay?? , the problem is that no one really knows why...she is showing no faults on diagnostics and never has at any stage nor put on engine light.....

Any suggestions or ideas would be much appreciated......

if its only low on power at low revs and OK on medium/high revs, its turbo control or air control related

check the boost pipe - black rubber pipe connected to the turbo. could be a hole in it.
common issue in 1.8 tdci engine.
