    Hi All,

I'm looking to source a gate/door for the rear of a property.

I would normally go for a treated wooden gate, but this is the main entrance to the property (cars parked at the rear). I was thinking of a steel frame with timber/decking bolted in and angle iron for the posts. Or possibly some sort of steel door.

Are there any other options other than getting a steel gate frame made up? There is currently a 32" hollow steel door in place with wooden frame which i want to replace.

Is there any other solutions out there? have looked at adverts/done deal.

I got some quotes for €550+ depending on finish etc... would of still needed to fit myself.

I bought 40mm box section and welded up a frame myself. I welded up an angle iron frame, 10mm clearance. Drilled and tapped stainless steel hinges. Bought composite fence panels in b&q for about €55.

It turned out very well, fitted a code lock too. I'll try post a pic later.
